Sometimes referred to as the "Jewish James Bond", holocaust survivor Simon Wiesenthal devoted his life to tracking down Nazi war criminals, right up until his death in 2005. His fascinating life story forms the basis of Wiesenthal, a man one man show written and performed by Tom Dugan. The play joins an ageing Wiesenthal as he welcomes a group of students to the Jewish Documentation Center in Vienna. While the subject is as heavy as it comes, Dugan ensures that Wiesenthal's well known sense of humour comes to the fore.
Having successfully played across the country, this critically acclaimed play is being brought to New York by Tony Award winning producers Daryl Roth and Karyl Lynn Burns. Star and writer Tom Dugan is no stranger to the one man show, having previously created Robert E. Lee - Shades of Gray and The Ghosts of Mary Lincoln. He also has dozens of film credits to his name, including appearances in Kindergarten Cop and Ghostbusters II.
