The play concerns a life-changing encounter between Lou and Jessie Nuncle, the producers of a struggling children’s theatre, and Annabelle Willard, the owner of an abandoned grand theatre the Nuncle’s covet.  How powerful does one’s yearning for a dream have to be to make it real? How far will we go to fulfill our dreams?
  
Dedication is the stuff of dreams - a piece written and performed by true masters of the American theatre. 

Terrence McNally (Author) was recently represented at Primary Stages with the world premiere of The Stendhal Syndrome.   He has won Tony® Awards for Master Class, Love! Valour! Compassion!,Ragtime, and Kiss of The Spiderwoman.  McNally has written “André's Mother” for television, for which he won an Emmy Award.  He has received two Guggenheim Fellowships, a Rockefeller Grant, a Lucille Lortel Award, and a citation from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.  He has been a member of the Dramatists Guild since 1970.

Audience:  Dedication, or the Stuff of Dreams is appropriate for children aged 12 and over.  Children under 4 years of age will not be admitted into the 59E59 Theater.

Run time:  2 hours 30 minutes with one 15 minute intermission
