Poor performance, Dec 11, 2013
reviewer: Dave m from Dunedin Florida
Into the third act , the curtain went down and the lights went on. Finally we were told it was a technical problem but clearly it was a performer issue. The roger character seemed drunk, not knowing his lines which made for awkward moments. Very frustrated and wanted to leave but waiting for the train wreck to end was on my mind. Not worth the money and not a good story either. Clearly a play that is dependent on the star power to sell it.

Not worth the cost, Oct 15, 2013
reviewer: Disappointed from New York, New York
These stars, with the exception of the actor who plays Jerry, are not suitable for the stage. Two dimentional performances. Boring.

go see it, Oct 15, 2013

this play was very entertaining and is filled with great performances of all three actors. It is well worth a trip to the theater. It is a great production of the play written by harold pinter.

good broadway play, Oct 15, 2013

even though the seats were expensive and the play was quite short this is a stunning and greatly acted production. It was well directed, the set looked very nice, and the music flowed very nicely with the play. This play should not be missed.

Very dissapointing, Oct 13, 2013
reviewer: Ana S. from New York, New York
I did not enjoy the script of the play or the acting. Daniel Craig was great, charismatic, a totally different character from James Bond. It was almost a revelation. The rest of the cast had very disappointing performances. This play is really not worth seeing.

Weisz performance disappointing, Oct 12, 2013
reviewer: RLKM from Alexandria, VA
With an all star cast I expect an outstanding performance. The opening scene is about two characters that have so much history between the two of them, yet Weisz came across as just reciting lines. The emotion and believability of her character didn't come out until the last two scenes. Craig gave an amazing performance. He was so natural and broke the stiltedness of the previous scene. Spall's performance was very good and could have been outstanding, but when you are feeding off someone else who is so stilted it is hard to shine. Craig and Spall carried the play. Perhaps it wasn't a good idea to cast a husband and wife together when the topic is betrayal.

Save your money to go and see Spall in something else, Oct 10, 2013
reviewer: Anonymous from New York, New York
It would be generous to describe Weisz's performance as two dimensional. This is all the more painful given that the play relies so heavily on the complex relationship between the three main characters. Craig and (especially) Spall gave very enthralling performances, which just made Weisz appear even more mannered and robotic by comparison. How Nichols has let the show get into this state really raises some questions about how he handles his actors.
