Theater usher needs anger management, Sep 17, 2006
reviewer: Anonymous from Anytown, AT 55555 - See all reviews by Anonymous
I went to see Chicago on September 17, 2006. Usher was fabulous. He has great charisma and unbelievable stage presence. Loved his dance number.

However, the theater needs to replace the theater ushers. One fat old woman needs anger management. The mezzanine was 3/4 empty. After the show started I moved up a row, which was completely empty. This fat old woman came storming over, screaming out of control. She was screaming at me as though I was a criminal who had committed a felony. I returned to the seat I had purchased. But the fat old woman continued to shout at me, shinning her flashlight in my face, calling me a liar and insisting the seat I had purchased was not mine. Even though I had been sitting in my seat for 1/2 hour prior to the beginning of the show, she demanded to see my tickets, still shining the flashlight in my face.

Beware of a wicked old ugly fat usher. Don't move over a seat if the theater is empty. This woman is psycho and should be fired.

Don't waste your money, Feb 25, 2008

I had seen Chicago many years ago and decided to see it again this past weekend(Feb.16,2008).All I can say is that Bob Fosse would be turning in his grave if he saw this production. The band takes up the entire stage,so there is no place for the dancers to dance. They actually sit on the stage looking bored as hell. The singing was awful. There was not one costume change. The people on both sides of me left during intermission. Please spend your money on another play. There are many great ones out there. I have seen better high school plays.

Great Show / Glad We Went / Would Recommend !, Jun 16, 2008

We saw Chicago in May 08 and were not disappointed.
A great show; stylish cast; and a terrific experience.
All of us thought Bianca Marroquin was truly mesmerizing. (Ie: the dance sequence she does in sync with two other male dancers was breathtakingly good / outstanding.)
An absolute star!
You’d see the show just to watch Ms Marroquin perform.

Worst I have seen in NY, Jul 04, 2006

Rita Wilson does not have the talent for this role. It is amazing to me that she was cast for this part.
How can a 49 year old woman be pregnant! I saw the play last year and it was 5 stars. This year it was the saddest thing to sit through. It was obvious that everyone from the backup dancers to the orchestra were embarrased to be associated with this show..Rita got the role because of who she is, not her ability to carry the role.

I loved the show! Bebe Neuwirth is so talented, and it made my day seeing her on stage! It proves how great of an actress she is, because you would never know this was the same woman who played Lilith on Cheers!! I heart her!!!! Brenda Braxton was amazing, too!! She's very inspiring! The whole cast just gave a killer (haha) performance!! 5 stars isn't enough!! I'd give oodles more!
