RED -- The Battle of Colors with Big Stakes, Mar 27, 2010

RED is an intimate play about a mighty spirit. Rothko's in conflict, but he keeps painting ... and talking ... with thoughts drawn from his own writings. Black and red battle and in this play red wins, though you know the battle isn't over. The struggle in Rothko's soul is made visible through the battle of colors. Alfred Molina is magnificent as the oh-so intelligent, tormented and brutally determined Mark Rothko. I wrote more about this fine play at http://www.LetsTalkOff-Broadway.com
