WHAT'S HOT ON BROADWAY

They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky - and they're coming to Broadway. A dream cast including Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth takes on the quirky characters in a new and original Addams Family tale at the Lunt Fontanne Theater.

Your favorite nanny with her carpet bag of tricks and excitement as Mary Poppins creates a 'supercalifragilisticexpialidoceous' night of entertainment at the classic New Amsterdam Theater.

Another sure bet is the unbeatable musical The Lion King, now the longest running show on Broadway from Disney. Winner of numerous awards, it continues to be as fresh and exciting today as it was on opening night. The opening parade of the animals will have everyone (young and old) breathless with excitement as you embark on the epic journey of young Simba.

2010 TONY AWARD WINNERS

At last the waiting is over, and after all the excitement of the most glamorous night on Broadway, best of the Broadway season were honored at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, 14 June. A host of A-list actors turned out for the stage equivalent of the Oscars. The 2010 Tony Awards have officially been announced.

Red, John Logan's portrait of abstract-expressionist artist Mark Rothko, and Memphis, the story of showbiz aspirations and forbidden love in the Civil Rights era, were named Best Play and Best Musical, respectively.

The Tony for Best Revival of a Play went to the late August Wilson's drama Fences starring Denzel Washington (Tony for Best Actor Tony) and Viola Davis (Tony for Best Actress in a Play).

Best Revival of a Musical went to La Cage aux Folles starring Douglas Hodge (Tony for Best Actor in a Musical) and Kelsey Grammer.
