Metropolitan Opera House : Closes 20th April 2015

The Met's unforgettable production of Verdi's ancient Egyptian drama stars Liudmyla Monastyrska once again, alongside Latonia Moore, and Oksana Dykand. They share the title role of the enslaved Ethiopian princess caught in a love triangle with the heroic Radames, played by Marcello Giordani and Marco Berti, and the proud Egyptian princess Amneris, sung by Olga Borodina and Violeta Urmana. The Met's hit production of Bizet's Carmen returns with two of its leading ladies, Anita Rachvelishvili and Elina Garanca! Anita Rachvelishvili made a sensational Met debut in 2010 as the feisty and seductive gypsy. An agent provocatrix, Carmen lures a young soldier away from his innocent betrothed Micaela, and toys with his emotions as she frequently withdraws her affections and flirts with other men, driving Jose wild with jealousy. Not one to be tied down to love, she is determined to live freely, love freely - and to die freely. More info

Metropolitan Opera House : Closes 7th May 2015

Renee Fleming marks her return to the Met with the title role in Francis Lehar's classic operetta. Directed by Tony Award winning Susan Stroman (The Producers), this production promises a lavish take on Lehar's comic story of love blossoming amidst bureaucratic wrangling. Set against the background of fin de siecle Paris, scenes take place at Maxim's, with Fleming singing the role of the beguiling heiress that has all of Paris under her spell. More info

Metropolitan Opera House : Closes 14th March 2015

A Met premiere of Giacomo Rossini's romantic tragedy, set in the Scottish highlands during medieval times. Joyce DiDonato performs as the Donna del Lago, or lady of the lake, and Juan Diego Florez as the king who pursues her. More info

Metropolitan Opera House : Closes 21st February 2015

Superstar soprano Anna Netrebko stars alongside Nadja Michael in this opera double bill by the Met Opera, consisting of Tchaikovsky's Iolanta and Bartok's Duke Bluebeard's Castle. Created by Mariusz Trelinski, this performance is a co-production between the Met Opera and the Teatr Wielki-Polish National Opera. More info
