The Roundabout Theatre Company's latest revival of Cabaret is a star-studded, two-time Tony nominated affair, with Spiderman star Emma Stone and stage vet Alan Cumming in the lead roles as Sally Bowles and the Emcee respectively. The musical, which first appeared on Broadway in 1966 is set in 1930s Berlin, in the infamous Kit Kat Klub where cabaret performer Sally sings against the voice of the Nazi rise to power. More info

When he was a young boy in the 1930's, Shlomo Carlebach saw the Nazi regime murder a Jewish man for simply singing in the streets of Austria. Pledging for ever more to stand up for freedom of musical expression, this event came to shape the life of Carlebach leading him away from the war to the folk movement that blossomed forth from Greenwich Village and Haight-Ashbury. In it, Holthouse detailed his meticulous plotting to kill the child molester who had abused him when he was seven. HANNIBAL BURESS

One of the hottest up and coming talents in the world of comedy, Hannibal Buress is fresh off the success of his own Comedy Central Special. The Chicago native arrived in New York in 2008 with $200 in his pocket and dreams of making it in the world of stand up. It's a testament to his talent that within a year he had landed a writing gig at SNL, which in turn led to stint on the staff at 30 Rock. Currently co-hosting Adult Swim's cult The Eric Andre Show, stand up remains Buress' first love. His routine is left-field randomness cased inside a breezy conversational tone, that has drawn comparisons to Steven Wright and the late great Mitch Hedberg.
