British stage and screen star Harriet Walter takes on the lead role of magician Prospero, in this brand-new staging of Shakespeare's island-bound drama, this time set in a women's prison. Following its critically celebrated 2012 performances in London as part of Lloyd's highly anticipated all-female Shakespeare trilogy (in conjunction with the Donmar Warehouse), The Tempest will transfer to New York's St. Ann's Warehouse in January 2017 for a limited run of performances. Walter is described as one of Britain's great Shakespearean actresses, having performed as Brutus in Julius Caesar as well! More info

Since his psychotic portrayal of Tybalt in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo+ Juliet, John Leguizamo's love of both Shakespeare and the theater has seen him rise through the ranks of Hollywood to become a successful screenwriter, playwright and stand-up comedian. His latest project sees a family-friendly, exuberant spin on one of Shakespeare's most famous tragedies, portrayed by rappers GQ and JQ. Following a short run in London, the show is headed back Stateside for a highly anticipated four-month run. More info
