An enchanting double program that includes a New York premiere piece by Salvatore Sciarrino (La nuova Euridice secondo Rilke) will be conducted by eminent British maestro and music director of the Royal Opera House, Sir Antonio Pappano, featuring guest soprano Barbara Hannigan. With the visiting Rome-based orchestra, also directed by Sir Anthony, the Orchestra has been heading into the international limelight with recordings through EMI. The principle founder of P-Funk, George Clinton has a talent for founding bands as well being was responsible for the formation of the groups Parliament-Funkadelic. Releasing many records himself, he has been asked by many artists including the Red Hot Chilli Peppers to produce their albums. Though he is predominantly famous for his behind the scenes work, George Clinton has also released many albums himself and his blend of funk and other styles will leave transfixed and looking for more by the end of the evening. The dance-pop duo returns to the road! Just For Fun, Rob Resnick and Cal Shapiro's third full length release, helped hone the group's already infectious brand of EDM-enhanced pop and r'n'b to almost dangerous levels.
