A full narrative story, Quadrophenia follows the story of a young working class Mod, Jimmy, and his search for meaning amongst the culture clash of 1960s Britain and was influential in reviving Mod culture, leading to the iconic film in 1979. Colombian reggaeton singer J Balvin heads to the States this summer for his Energia Tour, in support of his fourth studio album of the same name. Released in 2016, it was placed fourth on Rolling Stones 10 Best Latin albums, with praise heaped upon itslead single "Ginza," and considered to be his breakthrough LP. First seeking his fortune in music at the tender age of 14, Balvin first moved to Oklahoma, before embarking to New York to study English and music. Iconic Spanish tenor and heartthrob Jose Carreras returns to Carnegie Hall this September, marking his first, long-awaited performance since 2003. A rare visitor to the States, Carreras is now marking his retirement from the opera scene, with this recital forming part of his Farewell Tour. Joining the legendary singer on stage will be soprano Margarita Griskova and gifted pianist Lorenzo Bavaj. Philly natives The War On Drugs mix the delicate angularities of Indie-Rock, Americana, Shoegaze and Post-Punk Psychedelia to form a new kind of American Rock, the frontier of which they share with Young, Dylan, Springsteen and Knopfler. Unafraid of catchy hooks, driving guitar rhythms and a synth pad or two, the band's heartland sound evokes Kerouac's open road with a Prog twist.
