Hopewell
As one of Hopewell's most visible landmarks, the Beacon Theatre
opened in 1928 and has captured the hearts of the community from
one generation to the next for over 75 years. The 1950’s were
a golden era for the theatre. Sadly, in 1981, the theater had its
last curtain call. But in 1987, with the establishment of Hopewell
Preservation, Inc., a grassroots campaign was initiated to restore,
revive and reopen the historic Beacon Theatre.

The next production at the Beacon Theatre Beaconsfield by the
Beaconsfield Theatre Group is Seasons Greetings a comedy by Alan
Ayckbourn. Neville and Belinda have invited friends and relatives
to stay for Christmas. Clive, who has been invited by Belinda's
sister Rachel, takes a shine to Belinda. Belinda's stale marriage
increases the mutual interest. Throw in Bernard's puppet show, Phyllis'
drinking, useless Eddie and retired security expert Uncle Harvey
and let the fun begin....
